| Day 1 | Upon arrival in Phoenix, Arizona, enjoy a tour of Phoenix and Scottsdale, filled with rich colorful history of the "Valley of the Sun". Later, arrive at your accommodations for the night in beautiful Scottsdale followed by an included dinner. (D) | | | Day 2 | After breakfast, depart for a sightseeing excursion of the beautiful countryside that surrounds Phoenix. Travel north through the Bradshaws to learn the history of these mountains filled with Indians, prospectors, gold and ghost towns. Stop at Montezuma Castle National Monument, an ancient five‑story Indian dwelling. Explore the Visitors Center before a self-guided tour of the park. Continue on to the "Red Rocks" of Sedona including free time to explore the unique shops and boutiques. Later, travel through the rugged beauty of Oak Creek Canyon to Flagstaff for the evening, with an included dinner. (B, D) | | | Day 3 | After a continental breakfast, depart for the magnificent Grand Canyon. Carved by nature and the mighty Colorado River, this awesome monument offers breathtaking views from its famed South Rim. This afternoon, depart for an overnight stay in Zion, Utah. Relax and settle in as you enjoy dinner on your own this evening. (CB) | | | Day 4 | Start the day with a continental breakfast. Then depart for a visit to Zion National Park, where a Park Service Guide will share the history of the first residents of Zion -- "The Basket Makers". Continue on to Bryce Canyon National Park, traveling en route through Red Canyon to view some of the beautiful red rock formations. Upon arrival at Bryce Canyon, meet your Park Service Guide for a tour of the Canyon. After touring, depart for Salt Lake City for a two-night stay. Enjoy an included dinner this evening. (CB, D) | | | Day 5 | After a continental breakfast, meet your guide for a tour of the historic sights of Salt Lake City including the Brigham Young Monument, Utah State Capitol, Brigham and Young's Gravesite. You will also have the opportunity to pass through the gates of Historic Temple Square, symbolic heart of the worldwide Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), the Mormons. This afternoon and evening are free to explore Trolley Square. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening while exploring. (CB) | | | Day 6 | Start the day with a continental breakfast. Then drive north through the state of Idaho and east through the mountains to the city of Jackson Hole, Wyoming. After settling into your hotel, enjoy a free afternoon to explore the town. This evening, enjoy a special Chuck Wagon Dinner at a local Ranch. (CB, D) | | | Day 7 | Depart for Grand Teton National Park where your Park Service Guide will take you on a journey through this ever changing Park: no vista ever quite the same, no mood ever identical. Although you cannot perceive the slow, continuing rise of the peaks, you can perceive how the shifts in light make the range look closer, then farther away, now gray, austere, and foreboding, then soft, fluid, and peaceful. Experience both the dynamics and the timelessness of Grand Teton National Park. Later, drive north to the entrance of Yellowstone National Park for a guided tour. Visit Old Faithful Geyser and stop at the Old Faithful Lodge for souvenir shopping. Later, arrive in the town of West Yellowstone, Montana. Enjoy dinner on your own this evening, followed by the Imax Theater presentation about Yellowstone National Park. | | | Day 8 | Continue with more sightseeing in Yellowstone today, with visits to the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone along with views of "Artist Point", Upper and Lower Falls, and more! View spectacular mountain scenery as you travel to the town of Cody, Wyoming, named after Buffalo Bill Cody. Visit the Buffalo Bill Historic Center . Later, arrive at your accommodations in Sheridan, Wyoming followed by an included dinner. (D) | | | Day 9 | Enjoy an included breakfast and then depart for the Black Hills of South Dakota. Visit the old mining town of Deadwood in the heart of the Black Hills, now known for its saloon-style gambling casinos. After exploring the area, arrive for a two-night stay in Rapid City, South Dakota. (B) | | | Day 10 | After a continental breakfast, depart for a tour of the Black Hills including Crazy Horse, Custer State Park and Mt. Rushmore National Memorial, the famous memorial to our Presidents. After a day of touring, enjoy a farewell dinner as you relax on your final night.
